Fishing with the Guys

Well, early this morning PePaw and Daddy took Chloe fishing at Graham Lake. It is probably best that Brandi and I do not know all that was done but we do know that she arrived safely back home. PePaw did confess that because it was hot, they let her swim in the lake. Scary! Anyway, she had a good time and caught a fish. She actually is touching it! EEEWWWWW...
Note: The difference in the guys doing something and the girls - 1 picture with the cell phone! I guess we are lucky that PePaw even thought of that!

Honey rolls and a Carnival

Chloe was spending the night last night so of course she gets to pick the place to eat! She wanted to go where they had honey on the rolls [crescent rolls @ Rafferty's]. We went, she grabbed PePaw's roll that came with his salad and had devoured it in no time at all. Her mac and cheese showed up with another roll [at our request!] and wasn't long before it was gone too. She seemed to be quite hungry for those rolls and honey. As we were leaving I thought a quick stop by Big Lots might be a fun adventure, but as we pulled out of the parking lot Chloe spied the carnival in the Plaza parking area. So, here we go [Surprise, surprise!]
Our 2 minute ride to the Plaza was filled with her chattering about all that she was going to do. Since most of the rides were for kiddos and they had measuring sticks to determine if you could even ride, we felt some sense of security [just a little, really.] First things first - gotta get those tickets. Her first ride was a little helicopter that she rode with a face of boredom spending most of her time 'fixing' her hair. After that we checked out a slide, but she just wasn't tall enough. Oops! Then there it was - the ferris wheel! She was tall enough IF an adult rode with her. PePaw refused so those big ole eyes just fluttered right up to me and the next thing that I knew we were miles above the carnival!!!

A fast ride on the dragon roller coaster just made her eager for another. After the second ride we convinced her that we had to leave...

Cotton candy was the best deal of the night - 2 bags for only $3.00!!! We took it home and sat outside enjoying the sugary confection.

A quick golf lesson ended our adventure [actually, it was the mosquitos, but that just doesn't sound as lovely:)]

Mother's Day at the Beach!!!

After ending work and school on Wednesday the 7th we loaded Gil's truck and headed for Meridian, Mississippi - our first stop on the way to ORANGE BEACH!!!! What a feeling to arrive on Thursday and step out on the balcony to this sound.

The guys spent time at the golf course, the girls stayed at the pool!

We were able to spend time at local fun park...and ride go carts...

Eat yummy ice cream afterwards, because the weather was so hot...

See PePaw's happy face at Alvin's Island....

Tried to make the cutest beach pictures ever, but so many distractions just prevented that... Grant flying a kite, a wedding on the beach, wind blowing hair and dresses everywhere, and Chloe's newest BFF was walking and talking along side us. Oh well, Chloe is still the cutest beach doll ever...

And that new BFF - a sweet little girl from Memphis named Mia...

What a great time! Just a few words to remind us of our good times ~ crabs [gotta catch those things every night!] ~ jellyfish ~ Target [of course!] ~ locked out [oops, Who really forgot the key?] ~ red flags [not to be confused with red tags]
